Operations Manager RC1 Now Available

We are happy to announce Operations Manager RC1 is now available for download. This release marks an important milestone for this development cycle in preperation for product launch early next year.

Major Improvement Over Beta 2
Over 10,000 customers have downloaded Ops Mgr Beta 2. Our collective goal is to make sure each of these customers downloads and starts testing the new RC1 today.

Key improvements in RC1 include:

  • Improved install process
  • Major usability improvements made to the UI
  • Updated Management Packs and new Active Directory MP
  • Ability to Gateway and certificate manage non-trusted devices
  • Support for more deployment topologies including multiple management servers
  • Improved stability

Support
Continue to get support for the RC1 release of OpsMgr via our Beta newsgroups.
Please note, you must fully uninstall Beta 2 prior to installing RC1. Future releases (RC2 and the final RTM) versions will support an in place upgrade. However upgrades must be made build to build – RC1 to RC2 and RC2 to RTM.
